Rafting

This rafting trip happened toward the end of summer 2007 (yes, I have not updated the blog in awhile). We (eight people and two dogs) took the Alaska Railroad flag stop train (meaning you can stop and get off wherever you desire) from Talkeetna to around the Gold Creek stop. We unloaded our gear, set everything up, and set off for three days of rafting that would lead us back to Talkeetna. Here are some shots from the trip: loading the gear on the train, leaving the train, a camp site (including some fresh bear tracks around, and one or two others. A great time was had by all and future trips were planned. One of the best ways to explore the wonders of Alaska is definitely by river.
